Camp Starlight Poetry

Tuesday, July 10th, 2012

Recently, some of our Junior and Inter girls wrote poems about Camp Starlight in Creative Writing.  We were so impressed that we just have to share some of them!

Camp, camp is so fun.

I just love everyone!

I love you, you love me.

Camp Starlight is the place to be.

Juniors, Juniors HOT TO GO!

H-O-T-T-O-G-O!

That’s what division I’m in if you don’t now.

Miles of smiles,

Stay for whiles.

When you are having fun,

The day is pretty much done!

Camp Starlight is the place you should be,

And that’s the end of my poetry.—Danielle, Bunk 4

Camp is so fun

Because you see everyone.

Friends,Friends we sing so loud,

And that makes us very proud!

Swimming, swimming, swimming in the lake,

It’s a nice, fun school break.

Candy, Candy is so great,

I hope I’m not late late late!—Sara, Bunk 6

Camp, camp is a lot of fun

Because you are with everyone.

Dance, waterskiing, ceramics,

I wish I could do them everyday.

Come come come to Starlight.

You will  have lots of fun.

I love my bunk.  I love my friends.

I wish camp would never end!—Devyn, Bunk 2

Get off at Starlight in the afternoon.

This place makes me swoon.

Look at your bunks.  Say hi to your friends.

The fun and happiness never ends.

Opening ceremony is so sweet.

I want honor bunk.  Let’s keep the bunk neat.

Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen,

Water, water, water,

I am my dad’s daughter.

Friday night bright

Inside or outside, it never goes till midnight.

Visiting Day parents are shown around.

When I see them, I make a loud sound.

Read the next poem about the other half,

It’s sure to make you laugh.—Lily, Bunk 14
